The First Hole

The first hole is a slight dog leg left. The tee shot is up hill beginning with a left tree line. The left opens up to Sand Beach. A hook will put you in the Atlantic Ocean. However, if you land on Sand Beach, the ball will be playable. The first shot landing area is on a knoll with ideal turf. A strong slice may put you in an unplayable lie on the up slope of Cadillac Mountain.

As you stoll down the left side of the fairway, take a quick look over the bluff. You may see a lobster boat at work. A further walk along the coast will bring you upon Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse.

Your second stroke is open to the green. A slightly long and left shot may land you in the Blow Hole. Even if your ball returns with the surging water, you are still penalized for landing in a water hazard.

Instructions -- Before each swing, select your club. Then place the cursor over your target landing zone and push left mouse button. Continue play until you putt out or complete seven strokes. You will hear an in-the-hole sound and see the IN notice. If your shot goes off the screen, OB (out of bounds) and RS (reset) notices are displayed.

Select the swing button to begin your shot. The first mouse click begins the stroke. The second mouse click should be initiated as the bar reaches red. If the bar reaches full travel, the mouse will automatically initiate. The final mouse click should be initiated as the bar reaches green. If the bar reaches full travel, the mouse must still be pushed to initiate the shot.
