Driving Customers to YouTM is Geared Toward the National Distributor

Nashua – May 10, 1999 – WeatherEye announced the formal rollout of a service to help product manufacturers and distributors direct retail customers to dealers closest to them. Tabbed "Driving Customers to You"TM, it provides specific e-commerce tools that help link dealers with buyers. It is an alternative to developing and integrating the capability in-house. Implementing specialized Web features across multiple suppliers makes business sense.

"During initial operational trials, the service effectively drove the e-commerce public to traditional brick and mortar businesses," said Bill Joransen, WeatherEye’s President. "One of the goals is to provide a means to draw potential e-commerce customers with specific product interest to the end provider who will deliver, install and service the product. Many industries can benefit from this service such as home improvement, the building trades and automotive after market industries, just to name a few."

Pricing

An initialization and setup fee of $4,500 provides all functionality. Service initialization includes dealer data import, parameter setup, environment customization and web page standardization. Optional services are available to meet unique requirements. In addition, a maintenance and hosting fee is charged to maintain changes in search criteria. The fee is generally $250 per month, but can vary depending on specific services.

How Does the Service Work?

The average web surfer finds a product of interest and wants to see and touch the product. Most manufacturers and distributors leave the customer hanging, unable to locate the closest dealer. Although some provide a dealer list, very few help the inquirer to find the closest. WeatherEye cost effectively bridges this gap. By maintaining the manufacturers and distributors dealer data base cross referenced to location, and transparent to the users, the closed dealer will be returned by WeatherEye and linked back to the distributor’s web site.

Service is Self Contained and Remotely Integrated

WeatherEye provides full hosting and processing services tailored to each customer’s business needs. The service is provided with modular access. This enables webmasters to selectively integrate modules within their Web.
